The solution: OKZ or steel frame covering
The OKZ system covers old, unattractive steel frames with new, modern ones.
Steel frame covering allows you to overlay existing steel frames without removing them. It conceals standard steel frames, while for older apartment block frames with a so-called "nose," we offer OKZ with an 85 mm width. Even entrance doors can have their steel frames covered with a partial OKZ, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing interior appearance while maintaining external security.
Custom-made for a perfect fit
By choosing OKZ to overlay your existing frame, you save yourself the hassle of demolition, making the process quick and clean. The most crucial step is precise measurement of the opening with the existing steel frame. Measurements are taken at multiple points to ensure a perfect fit. We strongly recommend entrusting both the measurement and installation to a qualified professional.
Things to consider
One of the advantages of this system is that it can cover even slightly misaligned or deformed old frames. However, be aware that the passage size will be slightly reduced—by about three centimeters.

Better use of living space
With OKZ, you can plan a new layout for your interior, including changing the door opening direction (from right-handed to left-handed and vice versa). You can also switch from traditional swing doors to sliding doors.
With OKZ featuring an 85 mm overlay (used for steel frames with a "nose" found in many apartment blocks), you can change the side orientation and even make the door open into a different room than originally intended. With OKZ featuring a 60 mm overlay (for standard steel frames), you can change only the door's side orientation.
