The start of installation work is conditional on the construction readiness of the installation site, which means after the completion of work on construction openings, floors, tiles, and paintings.
In new buildings and renovations, the installation of casing frames should be carried out in the final phase of interior construction on sufficiently dried walls and floors with a moisture level of up to 12%. A fundamental condition is also the relative humidity of the installation environment between 35% and 50%, with a minimum temperature of +16º C. If the relative humidity is higher, there is a significant risk of deformation of the frames and doors.
The actual installation of casing frames is a dry and dust-free process that takes place only on finished walls (after painting and tile installation) and after laying all floor coverings such as tiles, floating floors, or carpets. Around the frame (at least 5 cm), it is advisable to leave out baseboards (e.g., tiles, floating floors, or carpet strips), which are better cut and installed after the frame has been set.
If the frames are installed in rooms with tiled or floating floors that are maintained with wet cleaning methods, it is advisable to seal the frame at the contact point with the floor using transparent silicone during installation. In the case of wall cladding (e.g., in a bathroom or WC) that is finished at a height lower than 205 cm, it is better to cut the last tiles around the frame after the frame has been installed. This prevents the formation of a gap between the wall and the casing, which would need to be subsequently filled with acrylic sealant.
In spaces where door leaves separate areas, ensure that the temperature difference does not exceed 10º C and that the relative humidity difference does not exceed 10%. If doors and frames are placed in spaces with a greater temperature or humidity difference than specified above, the varying physical properties of the materials used may cause the doors and frames to deform.
