How does a magnetic lock work?

The lock operates based on the mutual attraction of two magnets. When the door is open, the latch remains inside the lock within the door panel, leaving the door edge completely smooth. This not only creates a visually clean design but also enhances safety—without protruding parts, the risk of injury is minimized. Additionally, this design protects the door frame from potential damage caused by a traditional latch.

When the door closes, the magnet inside the strike plate triggers the latch to extend, securing the door in a closed position. To open the door, simply press the handle, causing the latch to retract back into the lock and allowing the door to swing open effortlessly.

Key advantages of this system:

  • Silent operation – the latch does not hit the strike plate laterally, ensuring quiet door closing.
  • Reliable performance – the mechanism is highly durable, eliminating the risk of jamming or locking malfunctions.
  • Minimalist design – the strike plate is embedded inside the door frame, and the latch remains hidden even when the door is open, resulting in a seamless and modern aesthetic.

Magnetic locks are available in standard key (BB), cylinder key (PZ), or WC lock options.

You can find magnetic locks in the Accessories section, specifically for non-rebated doors.

The magnetic lock for non-rebated door systems includes an adjustable strike plate with 1 mm regulation on both sides, allowing precise positioning.
